Terms and Conditions
Pets
We do not make a charge for dogs, as we know that you appreciate being able to take your pet on holiday with you. However we would like to bring your attention to the following:
-
We state that “Dogs are not allowed on the furniture” but if you think that your pet is likely to ignore this when you aren’t looking then please bring adequate throws/blankets/sheets to cover things up
-
Dogs are not permitted upstairs: a stair gate is provided to enable your pet to remain downstairs
-
You as the owner take responsibility for any additional cleaning, hoovering and sweeping up of pet hair that may be required at the end of your stay
-
DO NOT wash your dog in the bath as this is acrylic and will scratch
-
Dogs must never be left in the cottage when you go out
-
Please ensure no dog mess is left in the courtyard or outside areas
-
Note that the garden does not belong to Brock Cottage and no access to this is permitted
-
Other pets by prior arrangement only
Cleaning
Please note, we reserve the right to make a surcharge of up to £50 if you fail to leave the cottage in the condition that you found it. By booking with us, you agree to this!
The gap between departure and arrival times enables us to thoroughly clean the cottage between lets.
However, we do expect our guests to leave the cottage clean and tidy (plates/glasses/cutlery put away, cooker, fridge, cupboards, kitchen worktops, sinks, WC, bath/shower clean and all floors swept/hoovered, fire cleared out and rubbish moved to the bin and recycling area). Please only use bins marked Brock Cottage and BC.
Smoking
All areas of the cottages are non-smoking, smokers are welcome to smoke outside (ashtray on the windowsill at the rear) but please dispose of your butts thoughtfully.
Internet
A fair usage policy applies to the wireless broadband internet access in the cottage, provided for you to retrieve your emails and research purposes only. It is NOT to be used for online internet gaming or anything that involves large downloads.
Breakages, loss and damage
Please notify us of any breakage or damage during your stay or on your departure. We are entitled to charge for replacement.
Occupancy
The cottage is offered only on the understanding that the number of people that you have booked for will be accommodated.
Liability
The tenants agree that neither the owners nor any person in their employ will be liable to any member of their party for any loss, damage, sickness or injury, including baggage, car and contents, howsoever caused, which may be sustained by the tenants or any member of their party, or any person whom the tenants may have invited into the accommodation and grounds of the property during the holiday period.
Access
The owner shall be allowed access to the property at any reasonable time for any essential maintenance. Wherever possible this would be by prior arrangement.
Insurance
Holiday cancellation insurance is recommended and is available from many insurance companies.
